New Ideas for New Goals Magazine : the 6th edition of this annual publication, created within CPIP’s “New Ideas for New Opportunities” event, featured dedicated content on the project, enhancing visibility within the European adult education community.

An event was held at Buca Ali Kuşçu Primary School, İzmir, Türkiye by the DEÜ. The Empower Digi Teach team met with teachers from different disciplines who came from various cities across Türkiye and presented the project. A seminar on technology integration in education was conducted, and examples of gamification-based activities were shared with the participants.

Prof. Dr. Ercan AKPINAR presented a paper titled “Preparing a Scenario-Based Lesson Plan for Teachers: Digital Technology Integration in the Classroom” within the scope of the “Technology Summit’25 1st Interdisciplinary Innovative Approaches Conference” organized by Istanbul Gedik University on April 24-25, 2025.

Prof. Dr. Ercan Akpınar presented the paper titled “Scenario-Based Videos for Enhancing Teachers’ Digital Competencies: Technology Integration in the Classroom,” developed as part of the Empower Digi Teach project, at the 1st International Rabat Scientific Research and Innovation Congress, held on April 5–6, 2025, in Morocco.

In this study, he demonstrated how scenario-based instructional videos can effectively support teachers in developing their digital competencies, particularly in integrating technology into classroom practices. He also introduced key intellectual outputs of the Empower Digi Teach project, such as the guidebook and Learning Management System (LMS). Participants from Albania, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Nigeria, Romania, France, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Turkey attended the event with their own presentations. The presence of participants from various countries was considered a significant contribution to the dissemination and impact of the project.

A presentation titled “Empowering Digital Competences of Teachers Through Gamified Digital Learning Materials” was delivered at the 6th International Conference on Educational Research (İDU-ICER 2024), organized by Izmir Democracy University. The event took place on November 15, 2024, at Pine Bay Holiday Resort, Kuşadası, İzmir, Türkiye.

Researchers from Open University of Catalonia, partner of EmpowerDigiTeach project, Dr. Silvia Alcaraz-Domínguez presented a paper co-authored with Prof. Elena Barberà at the 15th International Conference in Education Technology and Computers in Porto, Portugal. The paper titled “Developing educators’ digital competences through microlearning: analysis of training needs in Spain” received “Best Paper Award” at the conference. We congratulate the researchers.

DEÜ team created and shared a video to introduce our project to general audiences as part of 2024 Erasmus Days.

Dr. Silvia Alcaraz-Domínguez, from the Open University of Catalonia, presented the project at the 12th meeting of DiM innovative Centers, on September 28, 2023 in Barcelona.
